Albertans are ready to fight climate change.
Where is the offer from government?
There is no shortage of urgent ecological, infrastructure, or care-based projects in Alberta. Whether the problem is fast-tracking solar installations in the South-East, retrofits in Edmonton or Cold Lake, trail management and fire mitigation in the Rockies, expanding high-speed internet from High Level to Siksika, or lifting the conditions of work in long-term care; opportunities for action are abundant. The problem is that for the people who are ready to work, the door remains closed.
Below are some of the fields that an Alberta Climate Corps would support.
